A New Chapter for Kudobuzz: Saying Goodbye to the Coffee Plan
We have some important news to share about how Kudobuzz works.
We are retiring our Coffee plan and introducing a single, simpler way to use Kudobuzz: a 14-day free trial that provides every merchant with full access to the platform from day one.
This is one of the biggest changes we have made to how merchants experience Kudobuzz, and we want to walk you through what is changing, why we are doing it, and what it means for you.
What is changing
Until now, Kudobuzz has offered a free Coffee plan that merchants can stay on for as long as they want. Going forward, that free plan is being phased out.
In its place, every new merchant who installs Kudobuzz will get full access to the entire platform for 14 days, completely free. No restrictions, no locked features, no guessing about what you might be missing. You get to try everything and see the real value before deciding to continue.
When the trial ends, merchants choose a plan to keep using Kudobuzz.
Why we are making this change
The old free plan was built around limits. Merchants could use Kudobuzz for free, but only up to a point, and much of the experience was about nudging people toward an upgrade over time.
We wanted something better. We wanted merchants to experience the full power of Kudobuzz right away, not a stripped-down version of it.
A 14-day trial does exactly that. It lets you import your reviews, publish your widgets, set up automated review requests, turn on SEO rich snippets, and explore everything Kudobuzz can do, all with full access. By the end of the trial, you will know exactly how reviews can help your store, because you will have seen it for yourself.
It is a simpler model, and we believe it is a fairer one too.
What this means if you are a new merchant
If you are just getting started with Kudobuzz, nothing about this is complicated. Install the app, and your 14-day trial begins automatically. You will have full access to every feature from the start.
During your trial, we will be here to help you get set up and make the most of your time. Once the trial ends, you can choose a plan and keep everything running.
What this means if you are a current Coffee plan user
If you are currently on the Coffee plan, we want to make this transition as smooth as possible for you.
You will continue to have access while we move everyone to the new model. Coffee plan users have an extended window to keep using Kudobuzz up until August 31, 2026, so there is no sudden change to how you work today.
After August 31, 2026, you will be asked to choose a plan to continue using Kudobuzz. We will be in touch directly with the details well before then, so you will have plenty of notice and clear next steps.
Your reviews, widgets, and settings are all safe. Nothing you have built goes away.
What stays the same
The heart of Kudobuzz is not changing. We are still focused on helping you collect customer reviews, display social proof across your store, build trust with new visitors, and turn happy customers into more sales.
This change is about making how you access Kudobuzz simpler and more valuable from the very first day. The product you rely on stays the same, and we are working hard to keep making it better.
